Some small, good things that happened this month

A post celebrating the small, good things from the month gone by I know January is technically not over yet but I highly doubt anything exciting is going to happen in the next 48 hours).

I’m trying to cut down on the amount of times I get my nails done a month (but I’m not giving them up – no way) but as it was my birthday the husband paid for this set – Bubblegum pink with leopard print and glitter accents. On my next visit I opted for my fave colour, aqua blue, with a cute white dot (see above!).

Speaking of my birthday, this year things were pretty low key. 27 isn’t very exciting and having a birthday a week after Christmas and two weeks after New Year is no fun. Instead I took the day off and husband took me to The Crab & Lobster for a slap up meal. He had lobster with scallops and garlic butter (pictured) whilst I had haddock on mash in a mustard sauce. He spoiled me rotten this year bless him.

This year I have set myself a challenge – To read 40 books before the year is over. I’ve started strong, powering through five books and starting my sixth. I struggled with a couple, I won’t lie, but overall it was pretty positive – I’ll be sharing them with you on Friday so keep your peepers peeled. I have some belters lined up for February though, I can’t wait to get stuck into them.

What are your small good things from January?
