Hey guys, happy Monday! There’s a bit of a brain dump coming your way – You have been warned!
Yep, that’s right, at the moment I am stressed.
All of the house drama is starting to really wind me up and I just want to get things over with now.
The estate agents haven’t been very helpful (not passing messages along, not responding to our communications etc), the insurance and the surveyors are at loggerheads and Jody and I are really feeling the strain of being sort of in-between homes.
I’ve started to sort the house out a little bit – Clothes have been binned, unread or unwanted books have been sorted through and make up has been lovingly packed into boxes – but there’s still a lot that needs doing really.
Buuuut as we are in limbo and don’t have a moving out date, we can’t get properly started as we don’t know where we stand.
I wasn’t looking forward to leaving but the estate agent have been so bloody unhelpful I don’t even want to stay anymore.
I just want to be at Jody’s mum and dads, with some extra money, living a relatively stress free life before plunging into the world of mortgages…Surely it’s not too much to ask?
Speaking of Jody’s parents house, this time around we are having a totally different room.
It’s slightly smaller but it’s a hell of a lot lighter, there’s no boiler like in our old room (dunno why the boiler isn’t tucked away in a cupboard?) and there is a built in wardrobe to save space.
As we plan on being there for at least a year, we decided that we should put some effort into the room and give it a bit of a transformation – We are going to paint it white, get a brand new grey carpet and some blackout blinds and turn it into a space we don’t mind spending a lot of time in.
I’m really looking forward to moving into it as it sounds like it’s going to be so fresh and bright, something I’ve been yearning for in a bedroom.
So even though there is a lot of drama surrounding the move, a nice new bedroom is waiting at the end of it – Every cloud and that eh?
This time last year (ish), I decided to migrate from Blogger to WordPress, meaning my blog got a face lift.
I’d started to get a little bit bored of the design (and blogging in general) but with the arrival of the new editing system Gutenberg, I’ve found a whole new lease of blogging life.
Whilst nothing on the layout has changed, I’ve changed the way I format posts. A little pink box at the top with some sort of introductory description, images, text and my favourite things – Some new headings to match my new header.
They are only small changes but they’ve got me feeling excited about my blog again and I’m looking forward to seeing what else is to come with the Gutenberg editor
(I just realised it’s actually my blog’s fourth birthday this week – I cannot believe I’ve been doing it for this long!).
