The Sunday Catch Up #43

BLOGMAS DAY TWENTY FOUR

IT’S CHRISTMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS! Hurray! I wasn’t feeling Christmassy at all at the beginning of the week but by Thursday I was full of the festive spirit, humming Christmas songs and decking out the living room with even more tinsel. Aswell as all of this the boss told me to go home at 3pm instead of 5pm so that was definitely a bonus!

So…How was my final week before Christmas?

I bought a Porg t shirt!

Did I need a Porg t shirt? No. Did I buy one anyways? Hell yeah I did. I ordered this one from Truffle Shuffle for £19.99 – I’m glad I ordered it when I did because M and L are now sold out and XS, S and XL are showing as only a few left. It’s a totally unnecessary purchase but even husband (who hasn’t seen Star Wars VIII yet) thinks it’s pretty cute. (I also bought a BB-8 mug from Aldi the other day – Somebody stop me!)

Some sale goodies

I’m trying to be a very good girl in 2018 (I want a car and a house and at least one flash holiday over the next two years) so I decided to have one last splurge before I try to kerb my spendaholic ways. The pre-xmas sales are always pretty good and this year I bagged myself some black glittery River Island jeans and a fluffy ombre pillow from ASOS aswell as a jumpsuit, a playsuit and a metallic skirt from River Island itself. Gotta love the sales right?

Kate London’s books: ‘Post Mortem’ and ‘Death Message’

I bought these books for £2.50 a pop on World of Books Ebay store and they were well worth it. The two books follow two female police officers and man, they are fast paced – I raced through them both in a matter of days. London is an ex police woman and you can tell in her writing as all the police procedural details sound really legit and in depth. I’ve done a really shitty job of explaining them (I don’t want to give anything away) but I would highly recommend her books if you are into the crime/police/thriller genre.

Oh yeah…I completed Blogmas!

I did it! I actually did it! I have posted everyday for the last twenty four days! Not gunna lie, I’ll probably never do it again (its a lot of work) but I’m glad that I pushed myself to complete the challenge. I like to think I did a good mixture of wintery/christmassy/alright blondie-ey content and I really hope you guys enjoyed it. I’m gunna put my feet up now and enjoy the time with my family so I hope you guys have a lovely Christmas and a fabulous new year! x

    Hello ,

I saw your tweets about animals and thought I will check your website. I really like it!

I love pets! I have two beautiful thai cats called Tammy(female) and Yommo(male).
Yommo is 1 year older than Tommy. He is like a bigger brother for her. 🙂
I have even created an Instagram account for them ( https://www.instagram.com/tayo_home/ ) and probably soon they will have more followers than me (kinda funny).

I wanted to subscribe to your newsletter, but I couldn’t find it. Do you have it?

Keep up the good work with your blog.

    Regards

Thank you very much for your lovely comment, your cats are beautiful! If I didn’t have a dog I would definitely have a kitty cat! I am working on setting up a newsletter but at the moment it’s a pipe dream x
