It started the week before, every email you received was advertising ‘the deal of the century’ and bloggers went wild with the Black Friday gift guides.
Now I’m not knocking anyone cos I’m all about making Christmas cheaper, treating yourself for all your hard work over the year and making a bit of dollar from affiliate links.
I’m just saying that it was all just a bit much (especially when you’re on a bit of a spending ban like me).
Didn’t stop me from caving though did it?
No, no it did not.
So what did I buy on Black Friday?
A leopard coat has been on my to buy list for at least four years but I’ve always struggled to find one that screamed ‘me’.
Then I saw this one and fell in love.
Unfortunately ASOS had sold out of my size so I had to size down but thank the fashion gods, it fits perfectly. It looks much nicer on than in photographs and shit the bed, it is SO snuggly and warm. I’ve worn it pretty much every day since I bought it and it’s definitely my number one winter accessory.
Even better I bought it for £60 instead of £75 thanks to the 20% discount code. Result.
Did I need another BMM ring?
Did I buy one when I received an email informing me of their 20% off code?
Yes I did.
Tooth has been on my list since I first discovered the brand, despite being a smidge macabre and weird. I’ve seen it in various Instagram posts and it looks really cool on, sitting rather nicely next to my bone rings. When I went on the BMM site (pretty much as soon as the 20% off code was announced) there were only three tooth rings in my required size and within a few hours they were gone, so I’m glad I snapped one up when I did.
BMM is such a great brand and now I just have to patiently wait for the Druzy rings to come back into stock so my collection can be completed.
I spotted this dress a month ago in our local River Island in green but at £45 there was no way I was buying it – I don’t go out nearly enough to justify that much on a dress (Maybe when I was 21 but not now). Anyway a couple of days before Black Friday River Island had 40% off partywear and what do you know, this was reduced to a much more reasonable £30 AND was available in pink.
It’s very short and ridiculously booby (I have to safety pin it to ensure I have some dignity) but mate, it’s so pretty and sparkly. I have no idea when I’m going to wear it but it’s ideal for the festive period. I might even take it to Prague with me.
