Getting to enjoy a little morsel of chocolate for breakfast without feeling guilty.
Cranking up the volume every time ‘Last Christmas’ or ‘All I want for Christmas is You’ come on the radio.
And singing ‘Fairytale of New York’ at the top of your voice when you’re pissed in the pub.
Selecting cute cards and coming up a theme for your wrapping.
Buying all of the cinnamon scented home products that you can get your hands on (big fan of Glade’s warm winter hug room spray FYI).
Wearing new fleecy pj’s and a fresh dressing gown, turning up the heating and getting all snuggly whilst the temperature drops outside.
Driving round town looking for the most OTT Christmas light displays that you can find.
Everyone’s in a mint mood because (most people) know that they’re gunna get a few days off work where they can eat loads of food, be with their loved ones and spent most of it pissed or asleep.
Giving presents. (I actually prefer the giving, I love surprising people!).

The possibility of snow lingering in the air.

Doing the rounds on Christmas eve, i.e playing Santa and dropping presents off with your family and friends.
Wearing glitter on your eyes, your nails, your clothing ,your shoes…All the glitter, everywhere and anywhere.
Increasing your hot chocolate intake by at least 112%.
Walking into country pubs and getting greeted by roaring log fires and loads of carby, gravy drenched food.
Wrapping up in your new winter woolies (I can’t be the only person who updates my Winter accessories every year can I?).
The Christmas markets and fairs that are dotted all over the country.
Christmas candles – Faves are Peppermint snow (A TK Maxx find), Frosted cinnamon (Primark), Christmas memories and All is bright (both Yankee).
Christmas carol groups. Sure I don’t really want them outside my door but isn’t it nice walking around a shopping centre to ‘Silent night’, ‘Ding dong merrily on high’ and ‘Good king Wenslishslash’?
