31 reasons why Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year.

The John Lewis advert (I’m totally sold on Moz).

And the Coca Cola advert. In fact all of the adverts (I L-O-V-E the Paddington/M&S one).

All the dirt cheap selection boxes on offer.

Christmas cups. I know it’s just a marketing ploy but I love seeing all the different designs.

Decorating the tree with the tackiest decorations you can find (or you know classy decorations if you are that way inclined).

Getting to enjoy a little morsel of chocolate for breakfast without feeling guilty.

Cranking up the volume every time ‘Last Christmas’ or ‘All I want for Christmas is You’ come on the radio.

And singing ‘Fairytale of New York’ at the top of your voice when you’re pissed in the pub.

Selecting cute cards and coming up a theme for your wrapping.

Buying all of the cinnamon scented home products that you can get your hands on (big fan of Glade’s warm winter hug room spray FYI).

Wearing new fleecy pj’s and a fresh dressing gown, turning up the heating and getting all snuggly whilst the temperature drops outside.

Driving round town looking for the most OTT Christmas light displays that you can find.

Everyone’s in a mint mood because (most people) know that they’re gunna get a few days off work where they can eat loads of food, be with their loved ones and spent most of it pissed or asleep.

Receiving presents.

Giving presents. (I actually prefer the giving, I love surprising people!).

Love Actually, Home Alone, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Elf, Arthur Christmas, The Santa Clause…Need I go on?

The possibility of snow lingering in the air.

Pigs in Blankets.

Doing the rounds on Christmas eve, i.e playing Santa and dropping presents off with your family and friends.

Wearing glitter on your eyes, your nails, your clothing ,your shoes…All the glitter, everywhere and anywhere.

Increasing your hot chocolate intake by at least 112%.

Walking into country pubs and getting greeted by roaring log fires and loads of carby, gravy drenched food.

Wrapping up in your new winter woolies (I can’t be the only person who updates my Winter accessories every year can I?).

The Christmas markets and fairs that are dotted all over the country.

Christmas candles – Faves are Peppermint snow (A TK Maxx find), Frosted cinnamon (Primark), Christmas memories and All is bright (both Yankee).

Christmas carol groups. Sure I don’t really want them outside my door but isn’t it nice walking around a shopping centre to ‘Silent night’, ‘Ding dong merrily on high’ and ‘Good king Wenslishslash’?

The Paperchase Christmas section.

Ugly Christmas jumpers.

Getting all cosy and snuggly, turning the heating up, lighting some candles, switching on the fairy/tree lights and watching all the Christmas specials on telly.

Did I mention all of the food?

It’s Christmas and it’s amazing. Did I even need to make this list really?
