The Body Shop Vanilla Pumpkin range

As a huge Body Shop fan (gotta love this 40% off discount codes right?) I’m always having a nosy on the website to see what’s new in. On my last browse I noticed they had released a range for Autumn – Vanilla Pumpkin! Normally I don’t go wild for pumpkins (Halloween sucks, I don’t like coffee and yeah, pumpkins are just blergh) but I couldn’t resist!

The collection consists of a shower cream, body butter, hand cream and shimmer mist (I didn’t bother with this) and as you can see the packaging is extremely adorable. It’s a lot more exciting than the standard designs and really catches the eye. It’s no wonder I couldn’t resist it when it looks like it does!

But did I judge a book by it’s cover?

Truth time: I’m not that keen on the scent as it’s a little bit sickly and can sometimes be overpowering – so yeah, I would say I definitely judged a book by it’s cover.

Promising to smell of pumpkin (duh), vanilla (double duh), maple syrup, hazelnuts and tonka beans, this range is super sweet – In fact it’s too sweet. If I had to compare the scent to anything I would say it smells very similar to Yankee Candle’s Snowflake Cookie.

Even though I’m not a huge fan of the OTT sugary scent, the products themselves are the high quality we have come to expect from The Body Shop. The shower cream scent lingers on the skin after a shower, the body butter is thick and moisturising and the hand cream leaves hands feeling silky soft. Just a shame the smell is a bit too much for my liking.

You’ll have probably already guessed this but if this was a permanent additon to TBS range I wouldn’t repurchase. It’s going to take me yonks to use up the body butter and tbh I’m pretty into my shea stuff at the moment so I probably won’t be using the rest of it in a rush either. Oops.

Don’t let this put you off buying something from the vanilla pumpkin range though – It might not have been to my taste but it could easily be to yours!

Have you ever bought something online then kinda regretted it?
