Turning 25

 Amsterdam selfie

This is a pre-scheduled post as I'm in Amsterdam. Hopefully I did it right and this is going out when it's supposed too. If not, oops.

Today I turn 25. I'm now a quarter of a century old, closer to 30 than 20 and I no longer tick the 18-24 box on important forms but do you know what? Getting older doesn't really bother me.

All I can really remember from being a teenager is being miserable. Picked on for my spots, my braces, the way I dressed, my intelligence, my music taste...I just don't remember ever being that happy.

Leaving school and hitting 18 was a turning point for me: I had new, older friends, I was earning my own money and I'd gained some much needed weight and confidence.

And since then things have only gotten better.

I've travelled to places I never thought I would see, I'm close to my family, I have a solid group of friends, I've got a fiancee who's alright I guess (Only kidding he's lovely I just know that he reads this), I'm saving to buy a house, I've got a fairly decent job and earn good money...The older I get the better things seem to be.

With this in mind, I'm looking forward to what 25 brings me. I think it's gunna be a good one.
