The Friday Five #4

Well hello there and welcome back to the Friday Five! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and that Santa was very very good to you (I was spoiled rotten this year, I must have made it on to the nice list!).

It's been a bit of a weird week - I've survived on cocktail sausages and chocolate, taken a nap every single day and have barely got out of my pj's - and to be honest it was a relief to go back to work for a few days and get back into some kind of routine.

If you hadn't noticed (you probs didn't), I had a week off from blogging over Christmas to re-energise and re-think my content and I'm so glad I did as I'm feeling pretty positive about Alright Blondie and where we are going to go in 2017.

Anyways, it's time to crack on, here's today's Friday Five!

BABY COWS!!
On Saturday morning me, my dad, my sister and my lil niece headed to a relative's farm to say hello and meet and feed some baby cows (!!!!). I'm a sucker for any kind of baby animal but I especially love calves so I was bouncing around like Tigger when we went to say hello. It was the best start to my Christmas holidays.

AN ABUNDANCE OF VERY GENEROUS GIFTS
In my family we always tend to go big at Christmas and all my relatives are very generous when it comes to gifting. Desite being a fully fledged adult (well kind of) I was still thoroughly spoiled and received some lovely pressies. Jody really pulled the cat out of the bag this year with some of his surprise gifts too, he knows me so well.

SPENDING CHRISTMAS WITH THE FAMILY
Christmas 2015 was a very lonely affair so getting to spend Christmas 2016 surrounded by my family was fantastic. We woke up at Jody's parents Christmas morning before heading to my grandparents for Christmas dinner. After thoroughly stuffing our faces and playing some games (I WON trivial pursuit!) we decided to bypass the pub's Christmas quiz and spent the evening watching Jungle Book before falling asleep at 10. Bliss.

BEATING JODY AT CONNECT FOUR
I bought Connect Four when I was in London and Jody and I finally cracked it out on Boxing Day. I smashed Jody to pieces on nearly every game which makes a change as he usually beats me at everything we play. Too some this may seem a bit small and insignificant but for me it was really nice to do something that did involve the TV and our phones for a change (and again, I won). If anyone can recommend any 2 player board games that would be really cool.

MY NEW BABY <3
Err yeah so, I stood on my laptop in the middle of the night a few months ago (I know what a bellend) so I've been in the market for a replacement. I was looking for one in the January sales and asked my Mum what to look for and SOMEHOW she persuaded me to buy a Macbook Air. It's cost me a ridiculous amount of money but it is absolutely fantastic and I'm so in love with it.

Have a wonderful week and a fantastic new year! Stay safe.
