The Sunday Catch Up #32

alright blondie
Well hello there! How are we all today? So today I'm changing up the format of My Sunday post. I have a love-hate relationship with my Sunday posts as I do like doing them but man do I get bored quick. SO I'm gunna be playing around until I find a style I like so bear with.
The biggest 'thing' this week is that Jody went to the Lakes on Friday night on a lads weekend with big plans to climb Scafell Pike. I think they were supposed to be camping Saturday too buuut they are uncontrollable and got kicked off site - Oops.

Anyways it's the first night Jody and I have spent apart since he went to Zante in 2010 so it was a bit weird coming home from work to his parents house knowing he wasn't going to be back for 24 hours. I mean, I survived of course, but I did miss him.

He came home last night and he looked pretty defeated. He went with some quite fit guys and although he isn't exactly the least active person I know (that would be me) he still struggled a lot more than he thought he would and seemed pretty glad to be home.
I spent Saturday morning catching up with one of my friends - I met her when I was 17 and she's the only friend I still have contact with from that period of my life. It's so easy being with her, there's no awkward pauses and as we don't hang around with the same people, our conversations don't instantly descend into bitching about people we know which is lovely - She's a breath of fresh air.

Whilst waiting for her I had a nosy around the shops, something I don't usually do as I think the shops where I live are pants but it's been a while and I actually got some really cool stuff. I ended up buying a sheep style throw for my bed, a comfy pillow for my work chair and the rose gold/copper votive holder that's in the photo above. The candle holder was only a fiver too, felt like I was getting a proper bargain and I *might* have to go back to the store as they had some beautiful things in stock.

After I toddled off to Harrogate to get my eyebrows waxed and OOPS - I fell into Primark. I didn't go crazy but they did have a glittery burgundy jumper that I NEEDED aswell as the cute skull candle (£1.50) that's also pictured. My windowsill is looking very bloggery at the moment.
It may not sound like the most exciting weekend but I actually really enjoyed it. Today is going to be spent chilling out, watching movies and hopefully eating something that's potato and gravy based.
Have a lovely week!
