Saying Goodbye to Summer

The 21st marked the final day of Summertime meaning we are officially into Autumn (Although with the weird crappy British weather we've been having you would be forgiven if you thought Autumn actually began in Mid-August).

Now before I start writing let me tell you this: I like Summer. I spent a year in Australia so I am a big fan of hot weather. I love having a tan, it makes me feel really good about myself and I live for being able to go outside and actually do something instead of cowering indoors avoiding the rain.

But despite these things, my favourite season is probably Autumn. It's a time to wrap up warm and feel the leaves crunching beneath your feet. The darkness creeps in earlier and earlier meaning you have the perfect excuse to stay in, getting all snuggled up and watching The X Factor. You can lie in bed and listen to the rain beating against the window, feeling slightly smug that you're dry and indoors.

It's a time for being cosy which I am a big fan of.

So it's goodbye to Summer, as short lived as it was, and hello to Autumn. Here's to hot chocolate, wooly hats and wearing all the black because you won't melt to death now the seasons have changed.

Now is it too early to start the countdown to Christmas?

What's your favourite season?
