The Sunday Catch up #23

You may (or may not have noticed) there was no Sunday Catch Up last week as my laptop went to the computer hospital cos dickhead here stood on it in the middle of the night when she went for a wee and cracked the screen - Nice one. Sadly they can't repair it but aslong as I look after it I think it will be okay. *cries inside*

Anyway apart from that it's been a good few weeks - Here's what I've been up too.

I babysat my beautiful 9 week old niece for the first time last Saturday! I won't lie to you, it was bloody terrifying, I'm not sure I will ever be ready for the responsibility of a child. Jody was ace though, a proper baby whisperer, I think she could maybe sense my fear? When Nannie came round to check on us all she decided that was the perfect time to do a poop and a big sick - What great timing eh? SHE'S SO CUTE THOUGH I COULD DIE.

- The beauty of spending a year in Australia means that every cent I gave to the government in tax I can claim back - and it just so happens that I got my refund last week! Yay! I got just over a £1000 which is awesome - It took every ounce of self control I have to not spunk it on a holiday and instead it's gone straight into my savings for a house deposit. Pfft.

- My all time favourite band, The View, announced a one off show at the Barrowland in Glasgow so obviously I was ready and waiting on Ticketmaster at 8:59am on Friday to make sure we got tickets. Good job aswell because they sold out within 3 hours. I would travel anywhere to see them, they're so underrated and so, so good!

- I'll be spending next weekend in a tent as I'm heading to Kendal Calling. It's smaller than my usual festival of choice (Leeds) and I'm looking forward to it - I can't wait to see Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and Jason Manford's also gunna be there - Yay!

Have a lovely week y'all

  1. Sounds like you've had a really good week! Claiming tax back is literally the best feeling in the entire world X
