The Sunday Catch Up #5

girl on the train, lonely planet, glamour

This week has been one of those nondescript weeks. You know the sort? A week where nothing really happens but you don't mind 'cos it wasn't all kinds of awful BUT it wasn't anything spectacular either. I like those kind of weeks because they make me feel content and they leave me feeling good about the week ahead.

Watching: Cos I was really good this weekend and didn't go out, Jody and I have spent the weekend watching all sorts of crap on TV (IE Ant & Dec, Take Me Out). We've also gone a bit mad on the DVD front aswell, buying Legend, Spectre and Straight Outta Compton. Straight Outta Compton is a must see btw.

Buying: It's Jody's birthday next month so I've started buying him presents. I'm getting him a PS4 (I know I'm amazing) and some other little bits and bobs as he had a rubbish birthday last year. I've also subscribed to the Lonely Planet Traveller magazine although this probably isn't a good idea when you consider my wanderlust issues. (£5 for 6 magazines ain't too shabby though is it?).

Listening to: Chris Moyles on Radio X. Chris Moyles was awesome on Radio One and I was sad to see him go. I've started listening to his show again and it brings me a lot joy first thing on a morning.

Imperial lather marshmallow shower cream

Netflixing: Kevin Hart: Laugh at my Pain. I'm a big fan of Kevin Hart (Get Hard, The Wedding Ringer, Ride Along) but for some reason I've never watched his stand up. Well all that has now changed and I'm counting down the hours/days/years until he does another UK tour.

Using: Imperial Lather Marshmallow shower cream. I found this in Tesco and omg it smells fantastic.

Doing: Jody's going to be a Best Man in Cyprus next year so instead of going there for for a week we've decided to make a mini eurotrip out of it. Nothing's set in stone yet but money permitting it will all go ahead! This means I've obvs been doing a bit of travel planning when I've had a spare minute at work and have something exciting to save for (that isn't house related anyway).

And 3 little things? Garlic and chives Philadelphia, the smell of Soap & Glory Hand Maid and getting a moment of peace to read.

    1. I picked up the Girl on the Train on a whim and didn't expect it to be so gripping! I had a very neglected BF over the weekend that's for sure.

  2. I haven't tried that shower cream but I know they they recently brought out a banana version as well which I simply cannot wait to get my hands on! I used to subscribe to Lonely Planet too, there's quite a lot of info in there. I very occasionally buy myself the Australia & NZ magazine, though it's very hard to find! x

    1. I'm going to go back for the banana one I think, they both smell incredible. it sounds so childish but I just love the photos in LP, they're so glossy. xx
